COVID-19: OYEWO CALLS FOR CALM, URGED CITIZENS TO OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING, PROPER HYGIENE

The Lawmaker representing Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has asked Nigerians to obey all directives and precautions issued by the authorities on coronavirus. Since the December outbreak in Wuhan, China, the new coronavirus has spread rapidly, with more than 294,000 confirmed cases in 186 countries, including Nigeria, as of mid March. The lawmaker in a statement issued by his media office, urged all persons including religious gathering to observe all the necessary precautions against the pandemic, and to follow the guidelines for combating the disease. Oyewo cautioned Muslim and Christian faithfuls against attending religious programmes if they are experiencing symptoms such as respiratory problems, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.
